Malena Salazar Maciá

Malena Salazar Maciá (1988, La Habana, Cuba). Escritora de fantasía y ciencia ficción, es la autora de las novelas Nade (2016, Ediciones Unión, Cuba), Las peregrinaciones de los dioses (2018, Ed.Abril, Cuba), Aliento de Dragón (2021, Enlace Editorial, Colombia), Los Errantes (2022, Últimos Monstruos Editores, Rep.Dominicana) y La ira de los sobrevivientes (2022, Ed.Gente Nueva, Cuba), entre otras. Sus textos han sido recogidos en antologías tanto nacionales como extranjeras. Traducciones al inglés de sus historias han aparecido en Clarkesworld, Mithila Review, y Dark Matter Magazine. Su trabajo ha sido traducido también al croata, alemán y japonés.

The SmokeLong Grand Micro Contest

Deadline November 15th!

The SmokeLong Grand Micro Contest (The Mikey) is now an annual competition celebrating and compensating the best micro fiction and nonfiction online.

The grand prize winner of The Mikey is automatically nominated for Best Small Fictions and any other prize we deem appropriate. In addition, we will pay the grand prize winner $1000. Second place: $500. Third place $300. Finalists: $100. All finalists and placers will be published in the December ’25 issue of SmokeLong.

Previously published as well as previously unpublished work will be considered.
