Jules Foshee holds a master’s in literature from UT Austin and a certificate in Narrative Medicine from Columbia University. She is the founder of NarrativeRx, a medical humanities initiative fostering reflection and connection in healthcare. Her poetry and essays on motherhood, spirituality, and ecology appear or are forthcoming in Cimarron Review, Literary Mama, North of Oxford, River Heron, and elsewhere. She was shortlisted for The Masters Review’s Best Emerging Writers Prize, and her collection Oranges in the Night of Plenty was a finalist for the Moon City Poetry Award. This year, she is a two-time Best of the Net nominee.
In September 2022 SmokeLong launched a workshop environment/community christened SmokeLong Fitness. This acclaimed community workshop is happening right now on our dedicated workshop site. If you choose to join us, you will work in a small group of around 15-20 participants to give and receive feedback on flash narratives.
