Kate Horsley

Kate Horsley’s first novel was shortlisted for the Saltire Award. Her second was published by William Morrow. Both have been optioned for film. Her recent fiction can be found in SmokeLong Quarterly, The Cincinnati Review, The Citron Review, Vestal Review, Wigleaf, Moon City Review, and Flash Fiction Online, and has been shortlisted for the Bath, Bridport & Oxford Flash Fiction competitions. She’s on the editorial board of Best Small Fictions, is the co-founder/editor of Inkfish Magazine and Press, and lectures in creative writing at the University of Hull.

SmokeLong Fitness - The Year-round Community Workshop of SmokeLong

In September 2022 SmokeLong launched a workshop environment/community christened SmokeLong Fitness. This acclaimed community workshop is happening right now on our dedicated workshop site. If you choose to join us, you will work in a small group of around 15-20 participants to give and receive feedback on flash narratives.
