A SmokeLong Summer 26 is coming round the bend! This year our theme is “The Global Flash Village” with more live online events than ever featuring flash communities around the world.
As always, the heart of A SmokeLong Summer is our peer-review workshop in small groups of around 15 writers. Our peer-review workshops are all in writing, so you can participate from anywhere, anytime. We also have 20 live online events planned. Write-ins, open mics, author readings, panel discussions, and hybrid events with flash communities on three continents! Our online events are scheduled at various times and recorded for participants unable to attend live.

In September 2022 SmokeLong launched a workshop environment/community christened SmokeLong Fitness. This community workshop is happening right now on our dedicated workshop site. If you choose to join us, you will work in a small group of around 15-20 participants to give and receive feedback on flash narratives—one new writing task each week.
