Andrew Wingfield grew up in Fair Oaks, California, an agricultural town that first piqued his interest in how place affects people. His work has appeared in various publications, including Prairie Schooner, the Antioch Review, Resurgence, and other magazines. Wingfield’s first novel, Hear Him Roar, was published in 2005.
