Fridge Flash — Who Will Win the Race?

July 20, 2020

The following story is part of SmokeLong Quarterly‘s Fridge Flash series. Today’s story comes from six-year-old Amara from Virginia.

And one more time for us adults:

Who Will Win the Race?
By Amara Maddux

Chapter 1 – The Start of the Race
“On your mark, get set, go!” the judge cried. Joshu takes the lead.
There are some rocks up ahead of Joshu.
Joshu falls. Oh no! The other robots are already far ahead of Joshu.

Chapter 2 – Will Joshu Win?
Josh hits his fast button and zooms.
And then he wins the race!

Amara is a six-year-old rising 1st grader. When not reading and writing, she likes to ride her bike and catch bugs. She keeps her mind active by playing her parents in chess and checkers.
