Hobart Annual Baseball Issue
One of my favorite lit mag journals of the year just went live. Here's what editor Aaron Burch has to say:
Because the MLB jumped the gun and started a little early, we missed Opening Day, but here we are with our annual baseball issue.

Perhaps our most popular issue of the year, we've super-sized this year, with a full roster of nine! The update includes stories and essays by Andrew Bomback, Andrew Ervin, Roy Kesey, David Kramer, Nick Mainieri, Daniel McArdle, Jim Ruland, Grant Stoye, and an interview with C.J. Hribal. We also have a new special feature: a whole bullpen's worth of haikus! Check out the issue now and get excited about baseball all over again! http://www.hobartpulp.com/website

And check out our last five years' worth here:

How to Win Hobart #8 and the Hobart Calendar

Hobart 8 is a "flip issue," featuring writers from America and Canada. Batting for the Americans is, among others, Chris Bachelder, Tod Goldberg, Benjamin Percy, and Catherine Zeidler. The Canadian team includes Stephany Aulenback, David Bergen, Sheila Heti, and more.

The calendar contains photos of Jim Ruland, Aimee Bender, Benjamin Percy, and a final scene with Aaron Burch and Elizabeth Ellen.

Hot, right? Right!

What do you do now? Go HERE for details.

Hobart #8 Available to Order
Hobart #8 is available to order. This issue is another "flip-style" issue, similar to #3, when Hobart shared issues with Monkeybicycle. This time around, they are sharing it with their friends in the north—one half of the issue features writers from Canada and is guest-edited by Pasha Malla.

On the U.S. of A. side, authors Benjamin Percy, Ryan Call, Matthew Kirkpatrick, Ira Sukrungruang, Chris Bachelder, William Donnelly,Cedric Yamanaka, Catherine Zeidler, and Tod Goldberg.

Representing the Maple Leaf, authors Lee Henderson, Julia Tausch, David Bergen, Mark Anthony Jarman, John Goldbach, Craig Davidson, Heather Birrell, Zsuzsi Gartner, Dimitri Nasrallah, Sheila Heti, and Stephany Aulenback.

And is that cover cool or what?
